Skiing

That was the day that the world changed on the mountain, and I was going down the mountain on a blue trail to start off because I haven’t been in a while. I was going too fast, and I wrecked into a tree. It wasn’t anything too serious just a couple broken bones in my shoulder. There was a singer that was following me because he thought I was cute because on the way up we got on the lift together and since he had his goggles and face mask on to cover his face so he wouldn’t get cold, we had a full-on conversation on the way up the mountain. After I ran into the tree, he was right behind me and I didn’t know. He came up to help me, and I was in full tears because it hurt so bad. He picked me up and carried me down the mountain because we weren’t that far up, so it didn’t take very long to get down. He took me to the ski resort ER and stayed with me the whole time. They called the ambulance to take me to the hospital, and he went with me to keep me company in the ambulance ride. We talked the whole ride because they got my shoulder stable to where it didn’t hurt as much. When we got to the hospital they took me up to surgery to put my shoulder back in place and make sure all the bones in my shoulder got put back in the right spot. After I got out of surgery he came in my room with flowers and a box of chocolates. I gave him my phone number, so he knew when I was awake after he left. During my healing process he stayed at my house with me, and it kept going further and further into a relationship. We went out to dinner one night and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I never knew I would meet my husband on the ski lift and help me through my injury. That is love for ya I guess.
